COORDINATE
Design: Ville Määttänen
Coordinate portrays minimal and stylish design with elegant form and choice of materials. Originally created for a competition by Valtavalo in 2017. The design of the lamp was inspired by Bauhaus and minimalist design from Scandinavia. It aims to create an interesting and balanced feel between the actual light and its frame with traditionally simplistic form. This was to emphasize the light as an element, as well as make the chosen materials stand out.

VA RIA BLE
Design: Ville Määttänen, Petri Salo

The main materials used in VA RIA BLE are copper and leather. Materials chosen are a gesture to hand-made high quality products and industrial-era aesthetics. The lamp can be adjusted in a peculiar way, and thus offers room for imagination. It is a playful pastiche of Bauhaus and functionalism.
TRAPETSI
Design: Petri Salo

Simple and playful in style, Trapeze derives from constructivism and POP-Art. The light can be easily adjusted to desired angle.
HALKO
Design: Juha Seppälä
HALKO lamp is made of one slice/part of Nordic birch tree, which has a light inside of it. HALKO is simple and beautiful like the Finnish forests. The light tells us something about the soul of nature and our relationship with it.
SARVI
Design: Kimi Wennström

SARVI is a lantern that lights the carrier's path by glowing its mystical arctic light. Glass, as a main material, creates a luxurious look and by touching it, you can feel icy Lapland. Inspiration for the design, comes from reindeer antlers and kaamos, which is the darkest time of the year. While not being used, SARVI works as a design artefact, combining nature and style. Its shape lures you to pick it up for a closer look. While doing so, SARVI recognizes position changes and lights up in the admire's hand.
PULUKKA
Design: Vertti Virasjoki,
Manne Martikainen

PULUKKA was created while exploring the growing tourist boom in Rovaniemi, concentrating on their use of plastic sleds. Vertti and Manne wanted to offer an ecological alternative, that looks and feels better for the user. The product is a piece of the puzzle in fighting against the culture of disposable and substandard mass production. The goal is to combine the nature with the urban environment, in a harmonic and pragmatic way.
